3M Malaysia 50 Years of Science and Innovation that Cares



 In celebration of 3M Malaysia’s 50th Anniversary, 3M Malaysia hosted its first experiential exhibition entitled 3M Malaysia 50 Years of Science and Innovation that Cares. The exhibition which takes place from 8th to 12th November 2017, demonstrates the Science and Innovation behind 3M’s range of products and solutions for consumers to experience in a multitude of areas. I am glad I was there to attend the event and the staffs are friendly and assists even guide on the use of their products.


During the opening ceremony, Parameswaran Nair, Managing Director of 3M Malaysia said, “3M has continuously strived to push the boundaries of Science and Innovation. Our aim is simple – to improve every aspect of Malaysian lives. It is this determination and passion which lead us to our 50th year mark of success in Malaysia.”

Parameswaran Nair adds, “3M promotes a culture of inventiveness and innovation by applying Science in developing effective products and providing innovative solutions to solve the biggest of every day challenges. 3M Malaysia 50 Years of Science that Cares echoes this spirit through the exhibition, which we are proud to share with all Malaysians.”


The experiential exhibition began with Dr. Ezani Monoto signing on as the official 3M Scotch-Brite™ brand ambassador. Dr. Ezani Monoto, a qualified dentist and winner of the first Malaysian Masterchef, brings a wealth of experience being in the kitchen and will represent Scotch-Brite™ products in its application at home, helping Malaysians to save and stretch their ringgit. During the event, Dr. Ezani Monoto also conducted a cooking session and shared cleaning tips using Scotch-Brite™ products.


“As a chef who is constantly on the move, I rely on Scotch-Brite™ products which allows me to clean efficiently and effectively as I go about my day, be it at home or in the kitchen. This is attributed by the Science that goes into its range of products. I am delighted to work with the Scotch-Brite™ brand which has been a household name that many Malaysians have come to know and trust” said Dr. Ezani.


Shortly after, the opening ceremony took a memorable spin with the officiation into the Malaysian Book of Records for the “Biggest Collage Made of Sticky Notes” using Post-It® Super Sticky Notes. The record was a collaboration between 3M Malaysia and INTI International University & Colleges who helped develop and design the backdrop.


During the experiential exhibition which spans throughout the week, specially created larger-than-life booths will showcase the Science and Innovation behind 3M products in every juncture
of life such as: the technology which goes behind 3M’s water purification system, how Scotch-Brite™ products can help you clean 3X faster and last 3X longer, and even protecting the exterior of your car from debris and light scratches with 3M™ Scotchgard™ Paint Protection Film Pro Series.

Other areas where 3M products and solutions will be present are; home and workspace organization, health, fitness, car care and personal safety; ranging offerings from cleaning tools, hooks, tapes, adhesives, health supports & braces, clinical dressings, automotive products, water filtration, and many more innovative solutions.


Over the 5 days event, consumers can experience firsthand and learn about how Science is applied to 3M products and at the same time win exciting prizes. There will also be a live car wrap demonstration which allows consumers to witness how a car is completely transformed. Want to get your hands on USD$100? Winners can walk away with USD$100, if he/she can defeat the 3M™ VHB™ Tape Strength Test. Additionally, as part of 3M’s effort to educate consumers, there will also be a dental talk titled “Caring for Your Chompers”.


3M Malaysia 50 Years of Science That Cares will take place from 8th November to 12th November 2017 at the 1 Utama Shopping Centre’s Oval Concourse. Yeah if no plan to go anywhere this weekend, can go to this mall with family and friends.

 Strawberry Frute is a must have if you like to strawberries. It's a refreshing sweet sourish taste of strawberry which added in their menu on 14 March 2017 until 30 June 2017. Enjoy this creamy strawberry smoothie infused with generously with strawberry filling. I loving it so much that I can have not just one but two of it. Besides, it's appetising taste from strawberry and fresh cream cheese brings out the freshness of zesty taste!

 Pablo Mini - Roasted Marshmallow Strawberry was introduce on 1st March 2017, it will continue up to 14 April 2017 as a seasonal product. On top of the cheese tart has the sprinkle of pistascho ribs to enhance the entire texture and aroma. It's yummy with their original Pablo Mini, cheesy warm soft filling inside topped with a glaze of strawberry sauce on surface.

Dining @foodrepublic 1 Utama Shopping Mall

When you are having a time off, it's time do dine with family and friends. One Utama Shopping Centre is one of my favourite mall as they are cinemas there that I like to go watch movies. Have you dine in foodrepublic before?

It's been a long time I haven't been to Indonesia for a long time, I missed the Indonesian cuisine. One of the famous Indonesian cuisine that I know is Ayam Penyet. Another is Soto, also known as sroto, tauto, or coto. is a traditional Indonesian soup.


The Ayam Penyet's fried chicken is crispy and yummy, found out that they have fried again before serving.

Spaghetti salmon RM21.10 - Western Cuisine
 Western Cuisine where you can find pastas and a selection of grilled, roasted and fried meats and fish.
Since some of my friends prefer Western Cuisine, they ordered the Spaghetti Salmon and Chicken Chop. Both are value for money, my friends that working nearby told me that they like to eat there because they enjoy their meal and the cost within their budget.

Who is a fan of Korea tv drama? Are you a fan of Korean food as well? Have you tried the Miro Korean Delight?

Some of my friends been asking and telling me that they have budget in dining in One Utama. What to eat and where to eat before going for movies. I find it's good to share this post with them as they like to dine in one place that they can eat and chat together.

Sundubu Jigae is hot and spicy, it's for you if you like to eat spicy food. A raw egg is put in the jjiage, and typically eaten with a bowl of cooked white rice and some side dishes.

Bibimbap is a signature Korean dish, the word literally means 'mixed rice'. The sauce is not spicy, it's use to pour in the bowl to mix and eat. A fried egg and slice beef, and sliced vegetables. The dish is stirred together thoroughly just before eating.

Local noodles and hot plate seafood, how about hot plate stingray with a bowl of rice. There's slices of lady fingers with stingray, my friend says it's just nice for her.

Hot Plate has been of my son's favourite meal, he likes to eat the sizzling noodle with egg. We can choose to have other type of noodle but my son's choice would be emee noodle.

When you are nearby 1 Utama and thinking of what to have for lunch or dinner, why not check out the foodrepublic in 1 Utama Shopping Mall. Foodrepublic is pork free and lark free. Its the place where I told my friends they can dine and enjoy different meals at one time together. It is located at second floor (Rain forest section) of the highly accessible 1 Utama Shopping Mall.

Din Tai Fung new dishes and new tea time dessert sets

Din Tai Fung was originally founded as a cooking oil retail shop in 1958.
Din Tai Fung was transformed to a restaurant in 1972 serving
Xiao Long Bao (Steamed Dumpling).

Each XIao Long Bao is delicately hand pleated with 18 exquisite folds and prepared fresh using only the finest ingredients.

This is my favourite Xiao Long Bao (Steamed Dumpling) of all time, always eat this with ginger, vinegar and soy sauce. I never failed to order this whenever I am there to dine with my family.

Now how about some refreshing drinks that you can have during your dining in Din Tai Fung.
On the day I dine at Din Tai Fung at 1 Utama, Lot G343a, Ground Floor.

I love the Lemongrass with Lime Juice Drink, it's refreshing for me. I usually prefer cold drink than hot drink as everyone has different lifestyle. Some people prefer cold drinks, some prefer hot drinks. How about you?

If you love have hot drink instead why not take up the Ginseng Tea with Red Dates.
