This Chinese New Year- Make It GIANT

GCH Retail (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd announces its Chinese New Year promotion in all Giant stores nationwide. I went to their media event at Giant Hypermarket USJ. The above video is the launching of the campaign at Giant.

In conjunction with the year of the rooster, Giant's Chinese New Year campaign focuses on big discounts, large range of products offerings and meaningful treats to consumers. During the event, Giant's official Chinese New Year TV commercial was shown for the first time on 29 December 2016.

"We know that Chinese New Year is a big celebration that focuses on families, hence we are offering big promotions, bigger treats and exciting redemption programmes," said Saki Goh. She adds, "Our campaign is about great discounts, savings and vouchers giveaway for all their Chinese New Year needs."

Good news to VISA cardholders as you can stand the chance to walk away with the lucrative prizes including the Giant Prize of a Hyundai Starex Royale worth more than RM160,000 when you participate in the "BIG WINNER Visa Spend & Win Contest!" from 29 December 2016 to 28 February 2017. There are also 100 Giant Gift voucher consolation prize worth RM200.

Redemption programme for customers starts from 2nd January 2017 to 16 April 2017. Every RM38 spent in a single receipt entitles customers to receive 1 stamp. A collection of 10 stamps will allow customers to purchase a limited edition Bakeware & Serveware at special discounted price. The stamps are also available at Caltex and customers will be able to get additional stamps upon purchasing selected items.

For the first time, Giant is introducing special Chinese New Year traditional casual and leisure wear for adults and children. Huge giant items such as Premier Facial Tissues with 8 boxes in a packet, 4 litres Sensez Beauty Shower Cream, 8.5kg Fab Powder Detergent and Downy Fabric Softener at 3.8 litres can be seen displayed at Giant Supermarkets.

Giant-Visa Riang Raya Rewards Shoppers‏

More than 30 lucky customers and their families were rewarded for going cashless as Malaysia’s largest grocery retailer Giant rewarded them with close to RM100,000 worth of prizes that included a Proton Exora 1.6 standard, in the “Giant-Visa Riang Raya” shopping contest.

The Giant-Visa Riang Raya contest is one of GCH Retail’s on-going efforts to encourage consumers, especially those who shop at Giant, to pay for their purchases with their Visa debit, credit or prepaid cards. The campaign is also part of the hypermarket’s continuous efforts in support of the Government’s aspirations to make cashless transactions a way of life in Malaysia.

The contest that took place from 18 June to 12 August 2015 received over 100,000 entries. Shoppers who spent RM80 in a single receipt with their Visa debit, credit or prepaid cards at any Giant stores nationwide were eligible to enter.

During the prize giving ceremoney, David Horton, Marketing and Merchandising Food Director of GCH Retail (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and Ng Kong Boon, Country Manager of Visa Malaysia are on stage.

Edge worth RM3,179;
 Salmah Abu Bakar, Clement Yap Chun Leong, Loi Yee Yah, Rodziah binti Abdul Khassim and Rozana binti Ismail each took home the 2nd prize of a 16GB iPhone 6 worth RM2,702;

Twenty others each received a consolation prize of RM500 worth of Giant vouchers.

Goodie bag from Giant Kids Run 2014

We just back from family vacation and yesterday evening I started to spend six hours or more for making the spider costumes for son and myself. Click on the link to view the costumes.

Above are the goodies we brought home, yeah my toddler having fun checking which items that he loves. Guess which he chooses?

He ate the snack Mamee Monster a pack by himself.

Cabaran Raja Tarik F&N 2014

Today is the first destination for the Cabaran Raja Tarik 2014, it is held at Mydin USJ in Selangor.

Above Malaysian radio announcer, TV host and TV producer, Farah Fauzana made an appearance at the event. Farah together with Fizo Omar, actor, model and tv host will host the Cabaran Raja Tarik F&N 2014 TV program which features footages of the tarik'ing actions by participants, in addition , featuring local signature dishes and new recipes. The program will runs on TV3 and TV9 from 21 May to 12 June.

Don't forget that you can view the Cabaran Raja Tarik 2014 on TV show on every Wednesday and Thursday from 21 May to 12 June at 7.55pm on TV3. The repeat show will be on every Thursday and Friday at 6.30pm on TV9. 

The finals will also be broadcast LIVE on TV3 on the 27 June at 6.30pm to 7pm. The repeat show will be on Sunday, 29 June at 7pm to 7.30pm on TV9.
