Nikkori Pear and Ibaraki Japanese Sweet Potatoes at AEON BIG Stores

Do you like to eat pears and sweet potatoes? If yes, you gonna like to eat Nikkori Pear and Ibaraki Japanese Sweet Poatoes.

Few days ago I attended the National Federation of Agricultural Cooperative Association (Zen-Noh) - the truested and reliable go - between linking producers and consumers in Japan - launched two of its products Nikkori Pear and Ibaraki Japanese Potatoes at Mid Valley's AEON BIG Store.
From left Mr Mitsuru Nakata, Managing Director of AEON BIG with the VIPS.
Currently you can these fruits selling at major hypermarkets store, these two purely Japanese-
grown agricultural produce.

With the growing popularity of healthy and clean eating in Malaysia,
Zen-Noh - in collaboration with Eurofarm, Malaysia's leading fruits and vegetables importer and exporter - were excited to expose local market to the high - quality, carefully - tended and innovative agricultural produce that Japan has to offer.

My son on the left photo holding the Nikkori Pear and Ibaraki Japanese Sweet Potatoes on the right photo.

Nikkori Pear, a new late maturing, russet-skin type cultivar of Japanese pear produced from the Tochigi prefecture is a new type of pear developed from cross seedlings between full-figured Niitaka and flavourful Hosui in 1984.

Do you know that Nikkori pear can only be harvested in mid-October? Then stored for a long period of time until February, thus specialty and superiority of its unique fruit.

Japan also prides on their Sweet Potatoes, a purely Japanese - grown produce from the prefecture of Ibaraki - the second- biggest producer of sweet potatoes in Japan in terms of both production area and amount. The most widely grown variety of sweet potatoes in this prefecture is 'Beniazuma and Beniharuka', known for its characteristically soft and flaky texture.
Do you know each Nikkori Pear weight one kg?

Nikkori Pear and Ibaraki Japanese Sweet Potatoes personally grown in Japan taste sweeter and fresher as it's tended to with care and consideration by Japanese farmers. You'll like the these agricultural products, retaining the sweetness and natural flavours of the pear and sweet potatoes.

If you like to know the price of the Nikkori Pear, it cost RM22.90 for each.
The Ibaraki Japanse Sweet Poatoes cost RM9.90 each packet.

Don't just read here, if you have interest to shop for them, head to AEON BIG. AEON BIG is the first hypermarket chain offering true Japanese produce.

Kungfu Bake Rice, second outlets opens in Aeon Big Subang Jaya

If you have dine in Kungfu Paradise, you'll know of the signature food court in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Kungfu Bake Rice is set to entice Malaysians further by opening the second outlet at Aeon Big Subang Jaya (formerly known as Carrefour) recently.

Located at the Lower Ground of Aeon Big Subang Jaya, the 1,000 square feet Kungfu Bake Rice is hard to miss. Having a big kiosk station situated right in front of the Aeon Big’s exit plus its bright orange coloured décor, it could easily allure the shopping patrons to make a stop at Kungfu Bake Rice. Menus are shown from the LCD screens that give much convenience to the diners to see a myriad of offerings from the restaurant at one goal.

Kungfu Bake Rice is a “Halal” culinary concept by Paradise F&B Malaysia Sdn Bhd with the thought of giving much freedom for the diners to customize the dishes they opt for especially its signature item, cheese baked rice.

As above you can see is the Tom Yam Soup with Mee Hoon, you can order this with less spicy if you didn't like it too spicy.

The Tom Yam Soup that is originally come from the authentic Thai recipe where the diners can complement it with either rice or noodles.

I have brought my parents, my son and niece to dine here. They enjoy the food there, their favourite is the Kungfu Bake Rice, Cheese Baked Rice. I can't agree more because I like this too.

Above Kungfu Bake Rice, Cheese Baked Rice is with cheese sauce and tomato sauce.

In Kungfu Bake Rice, they offer three sauces to complement the cheese baked rice; tomato sauce, cream sauce and their must-try Japanese curry sauce that was originally from Japan. They have a wide array of selection to complement the baked rice such as beef, mushroom, chicken cutlet, fish fillet and many others, topped with mozzarella cheese to fill diners’ cravings at anytime of the day.”
Who doesn't like mashed potato? I love it, the texture is thicker and value for money.
After trying the mashed potato, you wouldn't go other place to dine for mashed potato.
If you like to eat burger, there's choice of Kungfu Bake Rice, Signature Burger.

You are looking at the Kungfu burger, it's yummy eat every bite. If you like to add on cheese or egg RM1.60 each.

Aside from the signature cheese baked rice, Kungfu Bake Rice also offers an extensive selection of Asian delights such as Kungfu Burger that is made from succulent tender grill chicken thigh enveloped with a generous amount of Kung Pao sauce and Japanese Black Pepper Curry Chicken that can certainly boost your appetite with a hint of sweetness and spice.

What do eat during lunch time? I know everyone has got their budget on lunch. Why not check out the Kungfu Bake Rice, Japanese Black Pepper Curry Chicken, it's not spicy.

If you going to have a tea break, you can try out the Original French Toast, it's not oily at all.
Yummy eat each bite, it's spread with a layer of peanut butter and honey inside.

The popular drinks in Kungfu Bake Rice is Iced Stylo Coffee.

Shopping for family groceries

This morning I go out with my dear to have breakfast at SS15, Subang Jaya. The famous pork noodles shop where we have to wait at least 20 minutes for it to come. Then after he send me back, I waited around 10am to go Aeon Big to park and walk over to Subang Parade. I got my hair cut for RM18, a lady was earlier than me she started waiting at 10am. The lady that works in SS15, Subang Jaya says that she is living Ampang but come to Subang Jaya to work. It is convenient for her since she is living nearby LRT station at Ampang. After she left, then my turn to have my hair cut.

Only one staff at the salon, she was complaining that she works alone and needs to handle to salons. Another in Empire Shopping Gallery where she parked her car. Her colleague was on leave for few days to Thailand. Anyway she loves her job, she been a hairdresser for over 30 years.

So after my haircut, I have went to MBO Cinema to redeem my birthday tickets. I chosen to watch Kungfu Jungle movie. Then walk around a shop nearby Reject shop for shoes, try some shoes and nearly bought one but in my mind I was saying I have enough shoes. RM39.90 of a pair shoes I can purchase a pack of 1.9kg milk powder.

So at Aeon Big shopping for milk powder, RM39.90 for 1.9kg. Another choice was RM43.5 for 2kg. I certainly choose the 1.9kg over 2kg, I saw the same brand which selling in 99 cost RM41.xx. Anyway the family groceries cost me RM305.10. I bought six packets of milk powder, whole family is taking this milk powder even my kids. I also bought other milk dairy product for my son to bring school everyday to drink. So when I told my man, how much I spend on groceries, he was shock of the money spend. Milk powder prices as you know it would goes up and never comes down unless there's promotion.

Being mommy never easy, we need to think how much we need to spend and how much to use for family household and on personal etc. Tell me if your man do the counting for you?
