Tribute to 4 Heavenly Kings at RWG

Impersonator of Leon Lai
If you are born in the late 70s, you will know about the famous four Heavenly Kings, my favourite is Aaron Kwok. The 80s and 90s, the so-called Golden Era of Hong Kong cinema, gave us many things—among the most notable being the four Heavenly Kings, or the four biggest male superstars. Andy Lau, Jacky Cheung, Aaron Kwok and Leon Lai symbolised a special chapter in the history of the Hong Kong entertainment industry—and deservedly are still held in awe to this day.

Enter Wah D, Ken, Andy Wah and Leon Li—entertainers who have won acclaim for their work in impersonating the four Heavenly Kings. Then again, merely labelling them as impersonators may not exactly do justice to the four young men as they are talented entertainers in their own right. Not that the four friends care—they are simply happy to help fans of the Heavenly Kings relive the heady days of old when Andy, Jacky, Aaron and Leon reigned supreme.

Award-winning impersonator group
This show is a must-see not only for fans of the Heavenly Kings but because it has earned recognition as a famous tribute show dedicated to the four superstars. It is the first award-winning impersonator group on record, having won awards at the MCOMEI 2014 Fashion Festival and other competitions featuring impersonators. Beyond Hong Kong and Macau, the group has performed at Harrah's Reno in the US, and will in September perform in Canada.
Impersonator of Leon Lai
Fans can easily make-believe it's the real Heavenly Kings up there on stage when Wah D, Ken, Andy Wah and Leon Li perform. All four will be dressed in pilot uniforms for this show—exactly like the real Heavenly Kings—and they will not only sing and dance like the real actors but will also copy their mannerisms.
What songs will be featured? Why, the original classic songs of the Heavenly Kings, of course. Expect to hear, among others, Andy Lau's Yat Hei Zau Go Dek Yat Ji, Aaron Kwok's Dui Ni Ai Bu Wan, Leon Lai's Jin Ye Ni Hui Bu Hui Lai, and Jacky Cheung's Er Lang Chuan Shuo.

Impersonator of Aaron Kwok
The impersonators themselves are no lightweight. Wah D is a Hakka Chinese pop music pioneer and has won a number of awards for his work in impersonating Jacky Cheung. In 2000, he was the champion in the Beijing Television Jacky Cheung impersonating competition, and in 2004, he won a similar competition for Hong Kong TVB. He was the first singer to release a Hakka album in mainland China and Malaysia, and in 2009, he released a Hakka album in Hong Kong and successfully performed at the Hong Kong Coliseum. The same year, he also performed at the 13th Guangdong Games. He has over the years held concerts in Singapore, Australia, Canada, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Impersonator of Andy Wah
Ken who plays Aaron Kwok, has also won several awards including the one he bagged in a singing competition in 2006. In 2008, he was invited by HBS to perform at a Christmas concert and in 2011, he won yet another competition for being the “strongest vocal imitation.”

Leon Li also had ties with the man he impersonates—he was Leon Lai's substitute in the movie,
One Night Surprise. He has also won several awards for his impersonating efforts and has since 2007 performed with Wah D, Ken and Andy Wah in concerts held in various countries.
Impersonator of Jacky Cheung
Andy Wah has performed with Andy Lau, featuring in the latter's World Tour concert a number of times. Fans can easily imagine him as the real thing when he delivers Andy Lau's classic songs—something he has done successfully over the years in various places including Indonesia, Macau, Shenzhen, Fuzhou and Hong Kong.

Wah D, Ken, Andy Wah and Leon Li are the closest thing you'd get to the real thing. Wah D plays Jacky Cheung, Ken is Aaron Kwok, Andy Wah is Andy Lau, and Leon Li brings up the rear, playing Leon Lai.
And the good news is the four lookalike impersonators are soon to perform live at Resorts World Genting. Their Tribute to 4 Heavenly Kings promises to take you on a nostalgic trip to a bygone era when the four heavyweight superstars dominated the Hong Kong entertainment scene. If you like to visit Genting Highlands why not take this chance to see the four lookalike impersonators the superstars will ever perform together again, but Resorts World Genting sees no reason why their classic songs cannot be performed on stage like the way they used to be—hence the concert featuring the four lookalikes.

Tribute to 4 Heavenly Kings will be held at Genting International Showroom from 20 August to 9 September 2016 (except 23 August, 30 August and 6 September), 9pm.

Tickets for Tribute to 4 Heavenly Kings are priced at RM129 (VIP), and RM99 (PS1). Genting Rewards Card members are entitled to 10% discount.

Behind-The-Scenes Tour at Resorts World Genting

Last Saturday morning, son and I were invited for the Ice Age Adventure , in the afternoon for the Behind The Scenes Tour in Resorts World Genting, click on the link for the Ice Age Adventure. Who likes Sid the sloth? Check out my post for the details.

The "Behind-The-Scenes Tour" is now the latest hype at Resorts World Genting. I have look forward to know about this for sometimes, I am glad I get the chance to see it. The "Behind-The-Scenes" Tour has begun its inception since 1 May 2014 has been ongoing till date. My last vacation in Theme Park, Genting Highland with my parents were year 1998.

What started off to be a month tour had eventually become a monthly routine due to great response from the participants. The 2 hour 45 minutes tour that happens every weekend offers participants valuable insights into the resort daily operation starting off with a visit to the Visitor's Galleria showcasing where the resort first began.

The 30 minutes showcase will take you from history to whats new at the resort. Some of the exciting news would be the latest development at the resort and also the all new Twentieth Century Fox World.

It's a wonderful journey of discovery of the resort's founder.

Above the speaker was explaining on the The Handover - Moving Forward.

Everyone is paying attention to know more about the founder.
We get to see the model of the Resorts World Genting, how I miss the outdoor theme park never forget the good memories I was riding the roller coaster with my dad.

Before the next stop to visit the Genting Internatonal Showroom, above is group picture with fellow bloggers.

The Genting International Showroom where, we know of their technical experts in management of the back stage.
The person in charge has explains and show us of the management of back stage, lighting, and sound control involved during a show or event.

This will serve as an eye opener for everyone even the to the participants who are looking forward to learn something hands-on.

My son had a good time on stage with his friends.

Another activity awaiting us was the First World Hotel's laundry, the hotel with over 6,000 rooms has the largest hotel laundry in Malaysia.

We have the first-hand view and knowledge on how the hotel manages all its dirty lines.

We get to witness on how the clothes are all ironed with a special machine. It is indeed a rare occasion.

The "Behind-The-Scenes" Tour, end on a high note with an interactive and enjoyable programme on "how to make sushi maki and cupcakes" in a See, Do. & Eat workshop.

Everyone anxious to know of how sushi maki is being made

Mommy blogger and children too are busy making decorating the cupcakes.

Presenting you cupcake I have decorate.

It is fun workshop for everyone to make these simple dishes.
