Sunway Pyramid’s Bunga-Bunga Raya

(From L-R) Mr Irhash Zamani, Head of Marketing Communications of Naza Kia Malaysia; Mr Farouk Faisal, Chief Operating Officer of Naza Premira; Mr H.C. Chan, Chief Executive Officer of Sunway Malls and Theme Parks; Famous doodle artist, Fritilldea; and Mr Kevin Tan, Chief Operating Officer of Sunway Malls posing together with the Limited Edition Vespa courtesy of Naza Group of Companies.

Hari Raya is coming soon, are you excited? Raya is in full bloom at Sunway Pyramid as the lifestyle shopping mall celebrates the festive season with a Bunga-Bunga Raya themed concourse. You can find more pictures at my Facebook's album, click on the link to see more.

Known as the “celebratory flower” in Malay, the hibiscus will be the central theme of the
Orange Concourse on LG2 this Raya from now until 9th June.

“Under the umbrella theme of ‘Bunga-bunga Raya’, Sunway Pyramid has chosen our national flower – the hibiscus to symbolize togetherness. Just like how the different shapes and sizes of hibiscus reflect unity through diversity, we hope this Raya the spirit of togetherness continues to strengthen through the years” said HC Chan, Chief Executive Officer of Sunway Malls & Theme Parks.

Each mall has their take on this year’s festivities with the unifying theme of celebrating the flowers of Malaysia; from Hibiscus, Orchids, Bougainvillea, Geranium, Morning Glory and Jasmine. Aside from being aesthetically pleasing, each flower also has a different symbolic meaning such as togetherness, celebration, forgiveness, hope, new beginnings and purity respectively.

Sunway Pyramid also teamed up with Naza Group of Companies to gift one lucky shopper with a Limited Edition Vespa. The stylish Vespa will be made extra special with artwork done by famous doodles artist Fritilldea.
H.C Chan, Chief Executive Officer for Sunway Malls and Theme Parks, officially launched the ‘Bunga-Bunga Raya’ campaign for the Hari Raya festive season.

To stand a chance to own this one-of-a-kind Limited Edition Vespa, shoppers will have to complete the three activities at the concourse, scan a unique QR code at the concourse to download the new Sunway Pyramid mobile app and register for the giveaway contest which ends on 9th June.

The concourse is decorated in floral arrangements where shoppers can immerse in a journey through the unique indoor garden with five different activities, each representing a petal of a bunga raya.
The first is snapping and sharing a creative photo on Instagram or Facebook at the Bunga-Bunga Swing. Shoppers can then complete four actions at the Hopscotch Play Area. The Blooming Floral Walk is also not to be missed; taking a walk through the blooming flowers here will also earn shoppers a petal. Shoppers can also immerse in a unique interactive blooming garden and get creative by creating their very own flower show. The final petal is earned by taking a photo at the Floral Memory Lane photobooth.

For those who would like to bring home floral gifts and décor for the season, they can visit the Flower Market by Fleurs or try their hand at fun arts and crafts workshops taking place at the concourse on selected dates. Shoppers can tend to their very own mini garden by attending a flower decorative workshop on weekends.

With over 1,000 specialty shops throughout the mall including international fashion, beauty, sports and lifestyle, gadgets, toys and much more, shoppers will be spoilt for choice! Don’t forget to download the all-new Sunway Pyramid app where you can get exclusive deals that are not to be missed!

To further sweeten the festivities, shoppers can treat themselves to some Royce chocolate and shoppers who spend RM500 in a maximum of two receipts
(RM400 for HSBC credit cardholders) can redeem a jar of Yankee Candle at the concourse.

Stay healthy and look beautiful throughout Ramadhan with Guardian's regime and tips

How's everyone doing today? As the holy month of Ramadhan is fast approaching, leading pharmacy, healthy and beauty retailer Guardian Malaysia launched its annual health and beauty campaign to help customers stay healthy and look good throughout Ramadhan, and the Hari Raya festival that follows.

Ramadhan is a time when Muslims across the world fast during the hours of daylight. In hot climate countries such as Malaysia, the heat and humidity could take a toll on the body and fatigue often sets in.

"Sihat and Anggun Sempena Aidilfitri" this year, the campaign continues to raise awareness and educate customers on how they can maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle during the month-long fast, culminating in the festive celebrations. In particular, Guardian has identified and offers a wide range of healthy, beauty and wellness products that would meet customers' needs.

At a media review which held in Carcosa Seri Negara, Ledang Room to kick start this campaign, we were treated to a variety of activities including a health check by Guardian Pharmacists and a dialogue with Guardian's Health Advisor Siti Aishah Mohd Yunos. Her photo is above.

Guardian's Health Advisor Siti Aishah Mohd Yunos, she explains that during pre dawn meal (Sahur).
Body needs something that is slow to digest in and retain long enough for >12hours of fasting.

Breaking of Fast (Iftar). Body needs something easy to digest for faster energy since it has fasting long hours.

Skin care and makeup styles and trends for this season by Guardian's Beauty Advisor Evelyn Tay, on the event blogger Elana has step up as volunteer for step by step.
Look at Elana she's enjoying her masking at the event. Before that she had makeup remover, it's important to have cleanse face for masking.

Blogger Elana is happy with the result.
Hair care by Head of Cut Above Academy Peter Wong
One of the tips he shares on anyone who is having naturally wavy and dry hair.
  • Don't shampoo everyday but do condition your hair every time you shower.
  • When rinsing your hair, use cool water.
  • Use your fingers to 'comb' your hair rather than using a comb (unless you're using a hair dryer).
  • Embrace your curls and not use flat irons or hairdryers.
  • Use leave-in-conditioners after every hair wash.
  • Apply conditioner before washing hair and then apply again after rinsing off shampoo.
I tried the last method above using the Guardian Botaneco Garden products, click on the link to find out.

We head to Ikano earlier of August, there is kampung style theme that you can never miss out. We parked at Ikea which is my dear's favourite spot! I am sure you know sometimes difficult to find parking during the weekend. We have to wait and be patience to wait for parking.

My son couldn't resist the beautiful kampung style, he loves the octopus just look at him! The sandals he is wearing I have threw them away since it is broken, I don't like keeping broken shoes at home.
He plays pretending to row the boat, well he knows it is sampan!
