I attended the Nivea Whitening & Firming Range Media Launch at Black Box, DPAC Empire Damansara. 

I have been out in the sun daily to fetch my son from school, I know that having beautiful skin is often associated with glowing, radiant looking skin. Who doesn't want to have fair skin? Most Asian women desire having fair skin an endless pursuit because it has always been a proxy in determining the beauty of women in Asian countries. 

The desire of having beautiful skin does not end there. Women want a tight looking firm skin because it makes them look youthful. In the market now there is body care available that provide both whitening and firming benefits simultaneously. Therefore, many women turn to fashion to compensate their flaws including camouflaging their not-so-favourite parts. I am sure you know what I mean, because sometimes do that too.

The launch of first whitening and firming range in Malaysia, is marks another breakthrough innovation for the brand Nivea.

NIVEA Whitening and Firming range is developed using Vitamin C of 95% purity to repair dull and uneven skin from sun exposure while the Q10 is a powerful skin own coenzyme found in every human cell that ensure energy supply for skin cell. However, this coenzyme decreases with age! Nivea Q10 is well known for its anti-wrinkling, anti-oxidation and boosting cell energy to give a tight looking; firmer skin. By combining both key ingredients in the formulation, skin becomes fair and firm after regular application. 

The event has a short interview session with aesthetic dematologist, Dr. Siddique who further explained about the important of Vitamin C and Q10 coenzyme besides sharing his view on the craze demand of women desiring to have fair and firm skin. 

Dr Siddique further quoted following

"Vitamin C can help protect the skin against sun damage and they may act usually reverse some of the discoloration and wrinkles. These antioxidants work by speeding up the skin's natural repair system and by directly inhibiting further damage.

Q10 plays an important role in making skin look younger but it decrease as you get older. Most women over thirty have below optimum level of Q10 in the skin which results in an impeded ability to produce collagen and elastin. 

Collagen is important because it makes your skin firm, while elastic gives your skin flexibility. The 1oss of collagen and elastin causes your skin firm, while elastin gives your skin flexibility. The loss of collagen and elastin causes your skin to wrinkle and sag. Using topical skin products that contain Q10 can effectively help skin become firmer as it can penetrate deeply to provide antioxidants and help create collagen and elastin."

The launch did not just end there! Nivea also kicked off the 'Flaunt it, Fair and Firm! campaign which aims to celebrate the launch of the New NIVEA 1st ever whitening and firming range by helping women to realize that it's not what you wear that's matters but most important FASHION STATEMENT they can make is to have fair and firm skin. Women do not need to turn to fashion to compensate their flaws anymore! Now they can flaunt their fair and firm skin with confidence!

For Emely Poon, a radio DJ and TV host who lives an active lifestyle. Because she is an outdoors person, her fashion tend to be light and breezy which often expose her skin to harmful UV rays, she stated taking care of her skin using Nivea when she's young.
