Pensonic's Chef's Like Campaign Season 2 Cooking Classes 2015 with Dato' Chef Haji Ismail

Good afternoon to you, what are you doing? 

This morning I attended the Pensonic's Chef's Like Campaign Season 2 Cooking Classes 2015 with Dato' Chef Haji Ismail.

This time Pensonic has a cook along with contest winners and their Celebrity Chef DCH Ismail, this is the second consecutive year Pensonic is having their Chef's Like Campaign Cooking Classes.

The Grand Prize winner of Pensonic's Chef's Like Campaign Season 2 Cooking Classes 2015 will be able to experience up close Dato' Chef Haji Ismail's charisma along with his fresh, fun and innovative cooking style that clearly sets him in a league that is top of the class in local Malay cuisine.

Busy me putting the ingredients into the cooker then following step by step of cooking the chicken rendang. Thanks Elana for inviting me as her partner for this cooking class. 

During this cooking class, 2000 chicken drum sticks have been used. They are almost 180 participants at the event.

This first cooking class in Kuala Lumpur which held in West Boulevard, One City USJ 25 is special one as winners had the opportunity to cook together with Dato's Chef Haji Ismail himself. All the ingredients and cooking utensils were provided for the winners and guests, who joined by Pensonic's Managing Director Mr. Vincent Chew, Executive Director M. Nelson Chew, General Manager Mr. C.C.Lee and lovely Miss Chinese Cosmos Southeast Asia, Miss Gillian Hung ("Mama G") who is mommy of three children, and Pensonic Friends such as

Amber Chia,

Alan Yun,

Sean Lee,

Angel and Carrie Lee.

During the event I took part in the lucky draw and my name got selected to win a Pensonic Induction Cooker (PIC-2000). My blogger friends Ayu and Elana both win Bread Maker (PBM-2000) in instagram contest, Ayu also won in lucky draw her prize is same as mine.

Diners can place their orders between 7pm to 10pm every day with a choice of Menu A or Menu B, both a 3-course menu consisting of a starter, main course, dessert inclusive of drinks.

Menu A, priced at RM50 nett (inclusive of GST), comes with a starter of a 

flavoursome Wild Mushroom Soup served with Garlic Bread. For the mains, 

there’s the choice of the wildly popular Grilled Chicken Chop with BBQ Sauce 

served with Corn on the Cob, Coleslaw, Mashed Potato, or the restaurants 

signature 

Special SKY 360° Fried Rice. 

The Special SKY 360° Fried Rice prepared with a generous portion of seafood 

served with spicy chicken wing, fried egg and acar jelatah. 

Wild Mushroom Soup served with Garlic Bread, this is one of my favourite starter. I like every bite of the wild mushroom and flavoursome soup. 

Grilled Chicken Chop with BBQ Sauce served with Corn on the Cob, Coleslaw, Mashed Potato.

Special SKY 360° Fried Rice prepared with a generous portion of seafood 
served with spicy chicken wing, fried egg and acar jelatah. This is signature dish of the SKY 360° Restaurant. This is nice combo meal that you can share with loved ones. 

 End the meal on a sweet note with a choice of either a scoop of Ice Cream in vanilla, strawberry or chocolate flavour or the delicious Mango Pudding Served With Fruits.

Kids Gallery, the first kid's departmental store opens in One City USJ25

 Being mommy of two boys, I know it's important to find kid's departmental store that I can shop for my children. One City Properties makes its entry into retail business with the opening of Kids Gallery, the first ever departmental store catering specially to children. Occupying a shopping space of about 15,500 sq. ft. which is equivalent to 9 shop lots, the store carries a wide range of children’s merchandise from clothing to shoes, accessories, books, bags and even to bedding.

The official launch event was co-hosted by 9 year old starlet, Mia Sara who left guests in awe with her ability to host.

Shopping with kids can be fun now because you find yourself a big kids departmental store catering especially children clothing. There's a section for baby gifts, stroller, baby's needs. Another section for children, you'll be greeted with attractive colors and designs of the store. They are interesting photo corners and 3D elements around the store for kids to have their pictures taken. The changing rooms are also fitted with selfie elements whereby children will have the opportunity to pose with pose the attire they like. You know busy parents sometime no time to shop with their children, grandparents are the one that shopping with them instead. With selfie elements, children can send their photo to their parents at work to view.

Mothers can now breastfeed or shop in peace knowing that their children are occupied at the play area which also has a television to entertain them with cartoons. Both the Male and Female restrooms within the store are also child friendly as the sinks, urinals and toilet bowls are all placed at a lower level.  

 Sim added, “With an investment of RM3 mil. put into setting up of the store, Kids Gallery will complement the surrounding amenities such as the office suites, office tower, business class hotel, F&B outlets, cinema, gym, karaoke and supermarket.  During the launch guests were also entertained with an energetic kids hip hop dance performance choreographed by Alam who captained the team that won the first “So You Think You Can Dance Malaysia” competition. A lion dance troupe then ushered in the good luck and prosperity at the official ribbon cutting ceremony.

The Sky at One City, Biggest Rooftop Food and Beverage Area in Malaysia

The Sky at One City celebrated its grand opening on 23 January 2015, signalling a new chapter of the rooftop dining and leisure experience for One City mall. A product of careful planning and design, The Sky is established on the 10^th floor (rooftop) of the 16-level mall, inevitably an urban dining oasis in the Subang vicinity. The biggest rooftop food and beverage area in Malaysia, The Sky boasts mouth watering international cuisine that includes Thai, Korean and western delights, not forgetting a sports bar with darts game, pool table facilities and a chill-out lounge with live band, a new remarkable place for dining, chill-out, events, music and gathering.

 The evening began with guests being treated to a selection of sumptuous delicacies from The Sky’s six restaurants. They were then entertained by the opening performance featuring a power-packed dance by RJVN, followed by a talented duo known as Ong & Sim who combined dance and painting, creating artwork using their entire bodies.

 This was followed by an energetic display of beatboxing skills by local champ Shawn Lee, who showed off the percussive beats and dramatic sound effects that saw him rank in the Top Four of the Beatbox Battle World Championship 2012.

Malaysian Idol Season One 1^st Runner-Up Dina Nadzir then rocked the stage at The Sky, delivering powerful renditions of hit songs to the crowd. The multi-talented singer is a well-known recording artiste, as well as one of the top Malaysian radio presenters.

To close the evening, popular singer-songwriter Henley Hii took the stage and enchanted the audience with his performance. The most memorable part of the night came near the end when the audience, which included 30 members of Henley’s fan club, sang along to his amazing cover version of Beyond’s 海阔天空 (Under A Vast Sky). According to Henley, that song was especially dedicated to The Sky. A prolific recording artist, Henley is also an aspiring young actor, landing the lead role in the upcoming blockbuster film, Kepong Gangster 2.

Besides the night’s performances, guests were also entertained by various games and activities at the grand opening. All invited guests for the happening night were able to win prizes totaling RM16, 000 from the lucky draw, as well as use Facebook posts to ‘buy’ themselves some exclusive merchandise from The Sky’s “Facebook Shop”, in an innovative new social media concept. In high spirits, guests continued to party at The Sky till the wee hours of the morning.

 At a star studded gala night, more than 1000 guests were treated to a spectacular showcase by a great line-up of artists that included Henley Hii, Baki Zainal, Dina Nadzir, Shawn Lee and international illusionist, Zlwin Chew.

The grand opening of The Sky was a memorable evening for all present, including the many celebrities, noted guests from the entertainment and business industries and various well-wishers who graced the event. It firmly establishes The Sky as a new landmark dining experience and chill-out hub, and will hopefully be the first of many events, celebrations and memories to come.
