GUARDIAN’S ‘MOST VOTED BRANDS’ ARE BACK – GUARDIAN MALAYSIA SHOPPERS GET TO VOTE FOR THEIR FAVOURITE BRANDS AGAIN

Millions of GUARDIAN MALAYSIA customers, will get the opportunity to vote, once again, for their favourite health and beauty brands, and stand to win prizes worth up to RM40,000.

This annual brand appreciation contest which is now in its 20th year, starts today (5 September) and will close on 29 September 2019.

Ms Wong Vai Chi, Head of Marketing and Promotions, Guardian Malaysia, speaking at the launch, said: “We are extremely proud and excited to tell you that this year’s Most Voted Brands will feature 313 products from the extensive brand offerings found in our stores!”

“In fact, 313 products and 139 brands will be vying for 73 category awards this year, which will make this year’s awards as hard won as ever. And because the votes are from our customers, those who actually buy and use these products, it gives brand owners an unbiased evaluation of where their brand stands.

“The votes taken as a whole, will give an unbiased snapshot of brands that have reached and impacted our customers the most,” she added. Giving the background to the Awards, Ms Wong said:

“When Guardian Malaysia conceptualised the award in the year 2000, our objective was to connect our millions of shoppers to all our business partners and brand owners, by having them vote their favourite brand. Today, this award is even more relevant as we are driven to connect with and understand our customer lifestyle needs, preferences and behaviour that is constantly changing and evolving.”

“I believe Guardian Malaysia’s Most Voted Brands are among the most definitive and prestigious in the market, taking into consideration the depth and breadth of the products, brands and categories involved,” she added.

Reflecting the digital lifestyle of a majority of today’s consumers, the voting process will continue to be conducted entirely in digital format. This means, all voting will be done online.

However, as an added bonus for this year, Guardian customers can also enter the MVB Hunt in all Guardian stores using their mobile phones. The Guardian MVB Hunt is a treasure hunt conducted in all Guardian stores and customers can win product vouchers for more savings.

Customers can start treasure hunting by scanning the QR code at Guardian stores or by entering mvb19.guardian.com.my into their browser. After voting, they will get a product voucher of their choice of category. In order to unlock the next stages and product vouchers, customers need to upload their receipts.

Customers who have voted 3 times can then enter the online voting for an even higher chance to win the Mega Prizes.

So Guardian customers are encouraged to do this MVB Hunt first before doing their online voting because there are more opportunities to earn product vouchers.

To qualify to vote online, Guardian customers need only spend a minimum of RM10
in a single receipt at the store or online.
Then log on to https://mvb19.guardian.com.my/#/onlinevoting. Voting can be done anytime between 5 September and 29 September 2019.

All customers who submit their votes with a valid receipt will stand a chance to win one of 68 Mega Prizes, totalling RM40,000 in Guardian vouchers.

The Mega Prizes are as follows:
- One (1) grand prize of RM12,000 Guardian vouchers
- Two (2) first prizes of RM5,500 Guardian vouchers
- Five (5) second prizes of Guardian vouchers worth RM1,000

Today my sisters visited him and told me that dad's sleepy and tired plus his eyes cannot open at all. He had drip last night but today it's being removed. He's losing his voice too, yeah I am worry of him. I hope he recover soon, he's feeling bones pain. He's been saying that all that time because he's having knee pain and feet pain as well. The pain has been going on for a long time. He has high blood pressure and he's been complaining of not able to walk long he feel the muscle pain, and knee pain too.

Stay healthy and look beautiful throughout Ramadhan with Guardian's regime and tips

How's everyone doing today? As the holy month of Ramadhan is fast approaching, leading pharmacy, healthy and beauty retailer Guardian Malaysia launched its annual health and beauty campaign to help customers stay healthy and look good throughout Ramadhan, and the Hari Raya festival that follows.

Ramadhan is a time when Muslims across the world fast during the hours of daylight. In hot climate countries such as Malaysia, the heat and humidity could take a toll on the body and fatigue often sets in.

"Sihat and Anggun Sempena Aidilfitri" this year, the campaign continues to raise awareness and educate customers on how they can maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle during the month-long fast, culminating in the festive celebrations. In particular, Guardian has identified and offers a wide range of healthy, beauty and wellness products that would meet customers' needs.

At a media review which held in Carcosa Seri Negara, Ledang Room to kick start this campaign, we were treated to a variety of activities including a health check by Guardian Pharmacists and a dialogue with Guardian's Health Advisor Siti Aishah Mohd Yunos. Her photo is above.

Guardian's Health Advisor Siti Aishah Mohd Yunos, she explains that during pre dawn meal (Sahur).
Body needs something that is slow to digest in and retain long enough for >12hours of fasting.

Breaking of Fast (Iftar). Body needs something easy to digest for faster energy since it has fasting long hours.

Skin care and makeup styles and trends for this season by Guardian's Beauty Advisor Evelyn Tay, on the event blogger Elana has step up as volunteer for step by step.
Look at Elana she's enjoying her masking at the event. Before that she had makeup remover, it's important to have cleanse face for masking.

Blogger Elana is happy with the result.
Hair care by Head of Cut Above Academy Peter Wong
One of the tips he shares on anyone who is having naturally wavy and dry hair.
  • Don't shampoo everyday but do condition your hair every time you shower.
  • When rinsing your hair, use cool water.
  • Use your fingers to 'comb' your hair rather than using a comb (unless you're using a hair dryer).
  • Embrace your curls and not use flat irons or hairdryers.
  • Use leave-in-conditioners after every hair wash.
  • Apply conditioner before washing hair and then apply again after rinsing off shampoo.
I tried the last method above using the Guardian Botaneco Garden products, click on the link to find out.
