Shopping for family groceries

This morning I go out with my dear to have breakfast at SS15, Subang Jaya. The famous pork noodles shop where we have to wait at least 20 minutes for it to come. Then after he send me back, I waited around 10am to go Aeon Big to park and walk over to Subang Parade. I got my hair cut for RM18, a lady was earlier than me she started waiting at 10am. The lady that works in SS15, Subang Jaya says that she is living Ampang but come to Subang Jaya to work. It is convenient for her since she is living nearby LRT station at Ampang. After she left, then my turn to have my hair cut.

Only one staff at the salon, she was complaining that she works alone and needs to handle to salons. Another in Empire Shopping Gallery where she parked her car. Her colleague was on leave for few days to Thailand. Anyway she loves her job, she been a hairdresser for over 30 years.

So after my haircut, I have went to MBO Cinema to redeem my birthday tickets. I chosen to watch Kungfu Jungle movie. Then walk around a shop nearby Reject shop for shoes, try some shoes and nearly bought one but in my mind I was saying I have enough shoes. RM39.90 of a pair shoes I can purchase a pack of 1.9kg milk powder.

So at Aeon Big shopping for milk powder, RM39.90 for 1.9kg. Another choice was RM43.5 for 2kg. I certainly choose the 1.9kg over 2kg, I saw the same brand which selling in 99 cost RM41.xx. Anyway the family groceries cost me RM305.10. I bought six packets of milk powder, whole family is taking this milk powder even my kids. I also bought other milk dairy product for my son to bring school everyday to drink. So when I told my man, how much I spend on groceries, he was shock of the money spend. Milk powder prices as you know it would goes up and never comes down unless there's promotion.

Being mommy never easy, we need to think how much we need to spend and how much to use for family household and on personal etc. Tell me if your man do the counting for you?

MBO ALLSTAR card

The MBO ALLSTAR card from MBO it is free, however there's no discount using this card at all. You can use the card for collect points then in future use the points to redeem for movie ticket or popcorn or drink or their ALLSTAR combo.

Is this card any good? Well basically it is use for collecting point if you purchase tickets or their food and beverage.


I find it troublesome having an extra card, I seldom go to MBO Cinema. You need to go their website to validate the card. To do that, you will need to access computer to go their website.


I saw a foreigner with her friend, he's complaining about MBO ALLSTAR card. He's doesn't have an email or computer, there's no way he can validate the card. He bought the movie passes but he's not able to get any points with the new card.

Anyway the movie my son and I about to watch didn't get start on time. It supposed be 4.20pm but movie dragged up to 4.30pm. The movie we are watching Grown Up 2. The foreigner and her friend also watching the same movie.

Chinese New Year performance@Subang Parade

Have you been to Subang Parade? They have two drums on the stage where people can go and play it. It is fun to see my boys playing the drums. My boy has the interest to play drum he's asking if there's any chance he learns to play drum in school, we'll see about that.

 

The other day we were in Subang Parade we ended up having McD for dinner because the Chinese restaurant fulled of people. I haven't got the chance to lousang with my family members. Anyway I am thinking to purchase one and do it at home.

 

Have you to any mall to see Chinese New Year performance? I know Sunway Pyramid has got the big ship and fishes in pond.

 

Movie review: The Hobbit: An unexpected journey

Last night we head to MBO, Subang Parade to watch 2D The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. I am happy to use the movie tickets that I won to watch it. The staff is very friendly and help me through finding the suitable seats for three of us. He told me Hall 7 still have seats and I can use the movie tickets to watch it in 2D. The movie starts in minutes after I purchased a ticket for my son.

Hall 7 in MBO Subang Parade, the seating in middle so there is not side seats on the left and the right. I chosen the middle seats and good choice I must say we enjoy the movie. There are animals like wolves, rabbits, rats, birds, eagles, and a dragon.

I will share with you the part where my son used his both hands to cover his hands. It would the part where the Hobbit trapped down below the cave, there is one creature that keeps saying precious! You never forget the face of the creature it is just like in LOTR! The creature loves the ring very much, he loses the ring. The Hobbit grabs the ring that the creatures loses while dragging the Goblin. Now I remembered the name of the creature it is called Gollum!

It is an adventure journey for the Hobbit in this movie and everyone known the dragon still a life in the end of movie. Bear in mind that this movie is 169 minutes, so you know it is more than 2 hours movie. We know there is part two of the Hobbit because the staff opened the exit door!
